Once each month, on the weekend closest to the Full Moon, we set out from Lunar Lakes after sunset to walk beneath the night sky.
The evening begins with hot drinks, a short briefing, and time to settle in before lighting our torches and heading into the hills. The walk lasts around 2-3 hours and leads us through the local stone circle - an ancient, elevated spot offering open views of the stars.
The land surrounding Lunar Lakes is a registered Dark Skies zone, making it ideal for stargazing. On clear nights, we take unhurried stops along the route to rest, look up, and take in the vastness above.
STARWALK provides a regular opportunity to enjoy the rare sensory experience of walking in the dark as a group, letting your senses adjust, as the sky and landscape reveals itself in a different light. Glowsticks included.
